Catwalk to Sidewalk

Custo Barcelona

Custo Barcelona

Possibly the most glamorous sweatpants and jumper combination ever! The sweatpants add comfort and a relaxed style while the embellished jumper adds a touch of opulence. I thought the outfit would look great with these heeled Aldo trainers! What do you think?

Burberry Prorsum

Burberry Prorsum

Leopard print is one of those trends that comes around year after year, but still every time I feel it is a struggle to move away from leopard print’s un-classy stigma. However this season Burberry Prorsum led the way with a leopard print revival! I think this is the most gorgeous and flattering look I have seen so far. Wearing an animal print skirt is just as, if not more, daring as wearing a leopard print coat so keep all other parts of the outfit simple and plain. I have even chosen accessories plainer than those shown above! I would highly recommend the Asos belt, definitely an investment piece as it is easily adjustable and works wonders with everything.

Anthony Vaccarello

Anthony Vaccarello

I love this tough, fierce, rock and roll look from Vaccarello. Dark and smoldering make up – note the absence of blusher. It’s such an effortless look due to the loose fitting shirt and trousers. The hair is off the face in a simple but effective up do style, which works wonderfully with this laid back look. Why not give it a try!

Michael Kors

Michael Kors

It is offically the end of summer, so this is probably my last post for S/S looks. I don’t know about you but I personally cannot wait to bring out my winter wardrobe again! We are in the mid season phase where it is too hot for trousers and boots but too cold for shorts and sandals, so I thought this Michael Kors look was the perfect mixture of the two. It’s suitable for any summer rain showers or cold winds but still has that summery feel to it. You just cannot go wrong in stripes at this time of year!

Nicole Miller

I loved Nicole Miller’s collection for this Spring/Summer, it was full of attitude and perfect for providing some teen inspiration for all those festival looks we will be needing! I love the idea of combining short summer dresses with over-sized waistcoats.

Oscar de la Renta

Oscar de la Renta

The perfect look to attend a wedding or summer event. Smart and sophisticated but the bright pink shade and lace detail adds youthfulness and innocence. If you think wearing all pink is a bit much try a white lace top instead. Oscar de la Renta’s collection was full of diversity to suit any occasion and that’s what I love about this look there are so many ways to mix and match with garments already in your wardrobe!

Peter Som

Peter Som

Pink trousers anyone? I love this look by Peter Som and I love the pink Mango trousers I found just as much! I do not wear any pink but this subtle and romantic shade has changed my mind – it’s not too extravagant or outlandish like many summer brights.

Roland Mouret

Roland Mouret

Isn’t this just such a sleek and elegant look? I have decided I want to wear pencil skirts and only pencil skirts, they are just so flattering, especially with heels. When paired with a crop jacket they elongate the legs and make the whole look so streamlined! I wish summer would hurry up because I’m desperate to try this Roland Mouret look, take a look at his architectural collection which was a refined and elegant revist to the 80’s.

Simone Rocha

Simone Rocha

Such an amazing collection by Simone Rocha, considering the label is only 2 years old! An extensive use of materials, shapes and silhouettes – modern but with feminine undertones. I loved the girly, hourglass shape to this dress, in the soft yellow that is so prominent this summer. Though the dress I found is a slightly deeper mustard yellow with a lace floral pattern, it still retains a similar shaping. I did not want to match yellow heels either, I went for soft beige/white heels to neutralise the bright yellow.

Temperley

Temperley S/S 2013

This Temperley collection represented everything I love about summer fashion, the floaty, sheer and delicate fabrics, the feminine shapes and the romantic prints just make me swoon. I just loved the ‘sailor’ feel to this jumpsuit with the white horizontal stripe in contrast with the prim and highly sophisticated black hat. Eye catching to say the least! The jumpsuit I found from Nordstrom comes with a belt, but I would avoid any other accessories with this look; let the hat and all in one do the talking.
