I hope you all had a good Christmas, sorry for the lack of posts recently! I thought I would share my latest growing collection of books. The Vogue On books for Dior, Chanel, Schiaparelli and McQueen feature gorgeous images and information about the brand and their pioneering individuals. They definitely make great bed time reading!
This was such a lovely surprise that came in the post this week as a belated birthday present. Below is the A3 book by Testino, a compilation of all his best pictures of Moss. From the grungy teenage years to the high end fashion editorials – it is sensational! I am building up quite a collection of books now, but this one is by far the best of the lot and definitely one I will treasure forever. Have you got it too or would you recommend any of Testino’s other works?
I had an idea to blog about the books I want to buy, because I have started to build up quite a collection and could recommend nearly all of them! The latest on my list is the memoir of Grace Coddington – the Vogue US Creative Director.
I first came across Coddington on The September Issue – a film documentary on the making of US Vogue’s big September issue. I thought she was so full of wisdom and had such a realistic insight into the fashion industry. I think she will always be a big inspiration for me. Here is a clip from The September Issue.
