Lanvin

It was such an elaborate show by Elbaz, with a huge variety of colours, fabrics and textures! I loved the brocade and darkness to this look and the jewels and beading add such decadence. I chose a Topshop dress to wear under the black peplum skirt, and then the belt can be layered over the top. Everything about this look is over the top, but it seems to work I think, do you agree?

Jill Stuart

I love the simplistic style here! I don’t think I have featured Jill Stuart before so it is nice to look at different designers who do that simple elegance so well! Nothing is overly embellished or accessorized in this look, so that is just how I would wear it with the options above. The ankle strap looks fine with this look as well because of the trousers falling round the ankle!

Such a sensual look that really epitomises the whole collection. Tight trousers that almost resembled leggings were most prominent, as well as paisley print as a theme throughout. I loved the detail on this blazer, but it is a shame I couldn’t find a velvet equivalent on the high street – so sophisticated and powerful.

I was captured by the renaissance feel to this collection – it reminds me of a Tudor print. Though the dress I chose is not that similar to the one above, it has the same overall shape and pattern. Looks like layers for autumn, with plain tops under dresses to keep out the cold. The Rare brocade dress is lovely for the party season as well, without the top underneath that is! Don’t you just love the versatility of dresses in winter?

Balmain

Floral combinations can be hard to pull off, in fact I dread every form of pattern when it comes to summer. But new creative director Olivier Rousteing has pulled it of by giving the look a modern twist with black wedges. I found a gorgeous floral jacket that would be lovely for summer, but with any jacket like the one above, you must and I repeat MUST buy it to the correct size, ensuring that it fits snugly and doesn’t look frumpy. You do not want the jacket to be too long either. I avoided combining florals with florals and opted for a simple plain Cami that can be tucked into high waisted shorts to give a streamlined look.
