Simply Casual

April 10, 2016

I love spring style. When the weather is too warm for chunky jumpers, scarves and gloves, but you can still wear your favourite coat over a simple t shirt – what is not to love?! Take a look at these accounts for some super casual spring looks.

I have recently discovered ‘depop’ – the new way to buy and sell through Facebook, Instagram and via their app. The app is incredibly easy to use and also very addictive! You can search for your favourite fashion bloggers and, if you’re quick enough, snap up a piece from their wardrobe. Or use the search tools to discover new brands and individuals selling beautiful one off pieces, the vintage scene is likewise full of hidden gems!

What I loved instantly about this new platform for selling and buying was how beautiful all the items look. Sellers really make the effort to make their products look attractive, with not just one photo but many, and they are easily contactable if you have any questions. The review system also gives you piece of mind that you aren’t just going to pay and receive nothing – sellers should contact you when the item has been posted and provide proof of postage. Payment by Paypal or card is also straightforward and fuss free!

While I have been on the app everyday since downloading it, I have been very restrained and I am yet to buy or even sell anything! I found I instantly got people following my account, no less to increase the chance of me following them back and buying an item off them. Equally, it works in your favour when you come to sell if you have a couple of hundred people already following you. There is definitely no hanging about with this form of buying either, if you want it – get it, or its gone!

Go on start your depop I couldn’t recommend it enough! There is no harm in buying if you are selling too…well that’s what I’m telling myself anyway!

Stylight for Bloggers

May 19, 2013

I was recently introduced to a blogger platform called Stylight, an international fashion community  where you can create boards by uploading photos, videos, songs, quotes and items from Stylight. This means you can create a collage of your personal style, with your inspiration, and show items of clothing that you can buy directly on the site, such brands include Asos, Vero Moda and designers such as Alexander Wang. You can even “discover other boards in our international community and follow people you find stylish and inspiring”.

Stylight Magazine

I really like the magazine page too with its current articles in relation to celebrity style, fashion events and blogger tips and discussions with well known Stylight users.I think it is a great way to discover new bloggers and fashion inspiration, I recently discovered Chiara Ferragni from The Blonde Salad. Why not set up your own Stylight and let me know what you think?!
