Check Skirt

June 13, 2016

No doubt you have all seen this by now, but incase you haven’t I wanted to share possibly one of my favourite looks for summer so far! Model Karlie Kloss is wearing a checked two piece by Reformation. It is the perfect combination for when the hot weather hits – keeping you cool without wanting to wear as minimal clothes as possibile. I also love the neutral colour scheme but easily replicated in bold brights if you fancy.

Summer Sales

July 15, 2012

I think nearly everyone has been proud of themselves when they have scooped up a bargain sweater or dress in the sales that everyone has been wearing for the last few months –  you have managed to get it at the fraction of the original cost. Though we soon realise that once we have bought our reduced ‘said’ garment no one is wearing that trend anymore and we have disastrously missed the boat. Well fear not everyone because The Telegraph Fashion has given us all the dos and don’ts. If you are looking to take advantage of the sales this summer, I would always buy staple pieces that will be in your wardrobe for years to come!

Normally I would pair a full midi skirt with a tight bodice to balance proportions but here I love the baggy vest over the skirt. You could equally wear a loose blouse or shirt. The outfit takes on a ‘I’m not fussy’ approach. The garments I found are in the matt shades of the ones above rather than with a slight sheen. I would wear heels with such a skirt to elongate the leg, I do not normally like white heels but I will make an exception for these and the sporty ones I chose by Aldo – sometimes they just really work within an outfit.

I love this look from Cacharel. So simple and laid back for a summer tea party or day out. It is such an interesting colour combination – the peach shirt, orange skirt, and then the red heels – odd but I like it! Very lady like and sophisticated! I would match heels with the skirt I have chosen, they just add a bit of wow power, not only for your legs but also to show off the skirt.
